How to choose the power of the speed control motor?

Update:2019/09/11

When selecting the motor, it should be selected according to the actual situation of the load and the use environment. When selecting, pay attention to the power of the motor should be matched with the load as much as possible. The motor, power, type and type are extremely important. The most common method is the analogy to select the power of the variable speed motor. The so-called analogy and comparison with the motor power used in similar production machines. Then how to choose the power level of the speed-regulating motor? The following is introduced by the technicians of Zhengke Motor Factory:
The specific method is to know how much power is used by similar production machinery in my unit or nearby units, and then select the similar power of the reference motor for trial operation. The purpose of the test run is to verify that the selected generator matches the production machine.

The verification method is as follows: the production machine is driven by the speed regulating motor, the working current of the motor is measured with a clamp-type ammeter, and the measured current is compared with the rated current on the nameplate of the speed regulating motor. If the actual operating current of the motor is not much different from the rated current indicated on the nameplate, the power of the selected generator is suitable.

If the actual working current of the speed regulating motor is about 70% lower than the rated current indicated on the nameplate, it means that the motor power is too large, and it is necessary to replace the speed regulating motor with less power. If the detected motor operating current is more than 40% higher than the rated current indicated on the nameplate, the motor power is too small and the motor with higher power needs to be replaced.

How to choose the power of the speed control motor? I have shared it here. The choice of motor type is considered from the aspects of AC or DC, mechanical characteristics, speed regulation and starting performance, maintenance and price.
